I currently only have internet. Don't want a cable package, don't need it. (I do have an antenna for the little live viewing I do.) But, as many of us have said when the topic comes up, I would totally pay for HBO if I could JUST get HBO.
Got a mail offer from Cox this weekend for a $20 (for the next 12 months) addition to my internet service. I get a receiver with basic local channels, access to all the On Demand stuff plus HBO and Starz. I decided to put my money where my mouth is since this seems like an attempt at just what I said I wanted. So, we'll see if its worth it once I get everything going. I'll at least keep it through Game of Thrones since the HBO Go I was using is not longer an option. I can also add other movie channels at $5 a pop, ie Cinemax.
It's called Flex Watch and it is so new that when I called it took a few minutes for the rep to find it.
