For an estimated price of $40,000 - $60,000 you could have an amazing costume for hallowe'en next year.

Consisting of "flamboyant purple velvet frock coat , wool & camelhair slacks, off-white shirt with 'H. Reiser München' label, distinctive purple & violet lamé vest with floral design and satin bow tie" this is the original costume worn by Gene Wilder in "the title role as the mysterious and eccentric candy maker during the production of the film in Bavaria."

Also in the sale in the Hollywood auction on December 21st are 'Lot 356: Original Golden Ticket from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory', starting at $15,000, and 'Lot 594: Collection of (4) prop Wonka chocolate bars from Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' starting at just $400. I guess Johnny Depp's just not in Gene Wilder's league.

And that's just concentrating on the Wonka items. Also for sale are props and costumes from Tron, Back To The Future, Gremlins, Batman and LOTR, Mork's space suit, Mulder & Scully's FBI badges, an animatronic alien egg from Aliens, a whole wardrobe of Star Fleet uniforms. And possibly the star of the show, 'Lot 379: Harrison Ford "Han Solo" DL-44 Blaster from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back & Return of the Jedi', but starting at $200,000 that's probably a little out of any of our leagues.
