Miscalibrated Internet Receptor Stalks

HBO has standalone streaming services, if you are an Apple user

With HBO NOW℠, the new streaming service from HBO®, get instant access to every episode of every season of the best of HBO's award-winning original programming and exclusive Hollywood hit movies — plus documentaries, comedy specials, sports and more — for only $14.99/month.

That's the welcome message that awaits at order.HBOnow.com the site you can, in the future, be using to watch Game of Thones from. And it sounds good, for Apple users.

According to Time Warner Inc., the parent company of Home Box Office Inc., upon launch, customers can subscribe using the HBO NOW app on their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch or directly on Apple TV for instant access for $14.99 a month, which sounds about the same as what some cable companies charge to add the HBO package.

Upon registering, subscribers will also be able to watch at HBONOW.com. Which means if you sign up on your smaller Apple devices you can then switch to your computer (which I'm assuming has a bigger screen) and watch HBO on there.

HBO will also offer a 30 day introductory free trial period to new HBO NOW customers who sign up through Apple in April (when GoT comes back, so no surprise there).

There's some hints that in the future HBO will partner with more providers.
