… and I feel the way you guys do. I'll not write a huge review here, just check out the Pacific Rim tag (which is what I've just spent the last half hour doing. I'd avoided all the threads.)

I had no idea Charlie Day and Burn Gorman were going to be in it. I liked their comic relief B-plot, but I really wanted Charlie to raise the baby Kaiju himself and study it.

He seemed like he was just going to be playing his …Always Sunny character but he brought something different to it. Comedy actors sometimes just play themselves in every role and it can get less funny each time (coughrickygervaisecouch). Did anyone else get a hint of Lee Evans as the (fake) architect in There's Something About Mary from Burn Gorman, too? I think he pulled it off sufficiently well though.

I went with my dad and he loved it too. He thought it was just as ridiculous as Transformers, but this actually revelled in its ridiculousness while Transformers took itself completely seriously.
