I'm sad that The Colbert Report is ending this year, and I felt like sharing one of my most favorite moments.
This happened right after something majorly awful happened in my life, and I played this video over and over because it made me feel better. It still does.
I'm excited to see Stephen move onto bigger (maybe better?) things, but I'm going to miss what this show is. I'm also looking forward to Larry Wilmore's time in the spotlight, so I can't say that I feel short-changed.
I owe a lot of thanks to The Daily Show for introducing me to some of my favorite comedians, and for giving them big career boosts. John Oliver is knocking it out of the park with his show after his amazing stint as guest host while Jon Stewart was shooting his movie. And the addition of some of the younger comedians to The Daily Show team is just making it better and better - with Jessica Williams and Michael Che joining up as correspondents, they have been able to satirize a wider range of issues that they hadn't addressed in the past.
I'll just have to treasure these last few months.
