You all know I have a mental deficiency when it comes to basic math and scientific stuffs, so it should come as no surprise when I ask this of you scientificological folks.
I was watching Avengers:Earth's Mightiest Heroes, yet again, when Thor throws Moyll... Myioll... Meyoll... HIS HAMMER at Radioactive Man and Radioactive man stops it with one of his blasts.
Tony turns to Thor and says, "Focused radiation can rip the inertia from an object in motion."
Yes, it's come down to cartoon physics. Most of me knows this isn't true, but still I wonder. Is it possible to kill the inertia of an object by some kind of intangible force?
To be fair, I have gotten some useful info from cartoons. Because of Hawk Girl, I know that magnets can loose their magnetism when exposed to intense heat.
Having said that, what is the most nonsensical bit of "knowledge" you gotten from cartoons or TV?
