So, i'm a fairly profligate spender of money when it comes to games. Anything that passes my interest generally gets bought with few exceptions. the first exception being multiplayer only stuff and second, really expensive/overpriced stuff. I fear I may have been seduced by the latter...

Elite: Dangerous was/is early access and that early access alpha package would set you back £200. Pretty steep, right? I've been fighting the good fight, resisting the lesser £100 beta package but I finally failed last night.

Access to the Beta doesn't start until end of May but i get access to the single player combat zone right now and i'm sitting here, bored with the dozen games I have yet to finish (first-world-gamer here!) but i'm watching the install bar increase at the same level as my post-purchase regret but all I can think is...

...where's my Firefly soundtrack?
