Rather than focusing on where I was or my thoughts on September 11th, I thought it was important to look at the effects of what came afterwards.

This past April, Radiolab, working with buzzfeed, came out with a podcast called '60 words.' It talks about the AUMF, passed by congress three days after September 11th. These sixty words can and have been used to justify things, one congresswoman who voted against it, and the similarities to the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution.

It's an important part of our history. Agree or disagree with the actions taken after 9/11, I think that it's important to listen to the history and why some people disagree with it.

If you don't enjoy listening, you can read the buzzfeed piece on it, also called 60 words.
