Miscalibrated Internet Receptor Stalks

Just bought this.

I'm always down for new King, but I'm sort of afraid that this is going to be a let-down. Some things just don't need sequels.

Then again, I could be massively wrong; King is my favorite modern-day pulp horror novelist and I've owned more than half of his catalog at one time or another through the years. He's certainly proved to me that he can write a solid book... but The Shining is one of his finest novels and nothing he's done in recent years has come close to touching that sort of dark intimate terror he used to be able to produce.

Possibly 11/23/63, but that was so effective because we only (possibly) saw the tiniest slice of the ruins of End-World at the end of the book.

Anyone have any early thoughts on Doctor Sleep? No spoilers please if you've already started reading!
