There's been chatter amongst we who care about such things as to whether DC's TV and movie universes will cross over (the way Marvel's doing).

I personally wish they would, but it just occurred to me that if they planned to do that, they've already sort of missed the boat: There is no possible way that the events of Man of Steel would have gone unremarked upon in Arrow. Sure, one could argue that talking about that would derail the show's existing plot and tone, except they've already totally done that with their backdoor Flash spinoff thing.

Add to that the fact that DC's approach to continuity is reminiscent of late-stage Alzheimer's, and I'm not getting my hopes up that we'll get to see Emily Bett Rickard's Felicity Smoak showing Lois Lane how to be a competent, independent, three-dimensional female character.*

*Come on, don't even pretend you don't want to see that happen.
