I was going through the Netflix and came across this. I was aware that the Crow franchise had spawned two sequels and a television series, but I must have missed out on Edward Furlong in the title role.

Here is the slate of actors that played some version of the Crow.

Brandon Lee The Crow

Sting (Just kidding!)

I know Brandon Lee and Mark Dacascos are the only ones actually playing Eric Draven, but the franchise really started to do a poor job of casting someone who fit the role after the television show. Say what you want about Mark Dacascos as an actor or the host of Iron Chef America, but have you even seen Only The Strong? It's a martial arts movie about Capoeira!

I digress. A new reboot/remake of The Crow is going to spew forward at some point in the near future. It is set to be directed by Francisco Javier Gutierrez and will star Orlando Bloom clone Luke Evans.

Apparently we dodged a bullet since the production was looking to cast 2011 Mouth Breathing Champion Kristen Stewart as Shelley. At least she would have died early in the film. That same article mentions that Norman Reedus was also being looked at for a part in the film. That is a plus. The saddest thing about this movie is that last spring the internet's own Tom Hiddleston was being looked at to play the part of Eric Draven. I am not sure why this didn't happen but I think the production team on this film may have missed a golden opportunity here. A certain group of people I know would gladly pay $10.00 to watch the Hiddles read a magazine for two hours.
