I don’t understand how Turner Classic Movies sometimes chooses its film showings, but this will be an interesting look into the 1987-1988 social experience of a kid growing up in the 80s. Will either of them hold up structurally as it found 30 years later? I don’t know really, and I don’t care. I’m more curious to look at them as a part of 1980s culture and the films it spawned.
