Margot Robbie Signs With WB to Executive Produce A Harley Quinn Movie

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Margot Robbie, the 26-year-old Australian actress who starred as Harleen Quinzel in Suicide Squad, has signed a First Look deal with Warner Brothers to develop and executive produce movies through her own production company, LuckyChap Entertainment. So far, she has two movies on the slate: an adaptation of Queen of the Air by Dean Jensen and a Harley Quinn spin-off movie.

Although Suicide Squad got mostly negative reviews from critics, it still managed to achieve over $700 million at the box office and viewers have said that one of the best things about the film is Robbie’s Harley Quinn. Hopefully, since Robbie is going to be executive producing Harley’s movie, she will be able to wear something a bit more comfortable than those tiny, tiny shorts.

A Harley Quinn movie also has the opportunity to expand her supporting cast beyond the usual (like the Joker and Batman), especially concerning her best friend/sometimes girlfriend Poison Ivy, where the subtext has rapidly become actual text lately in the comics. So who should star as Poison Ivy? Christina Hendricks? Bryce Dallas Howard? Rose Leslie?

Okay, yes, definitely Rose Leslie.
