I am no good at what the young people call "mash-ups," having no technical skills in that regard, but seeing the supercut of battle scenes from the new Hobbit movie inspired me to try this combo, which I think works pretty splendidly if I do say so myself. So run the supercut with the sound turned off, with the second video playing simultaneously. They should blend pretty nicely. It certainly works a lot better than the generic temp track on the trailer. And what is The Hobbit if not a warning of the dangers of L'estasi dell'oro?

Oh, and if you ever wondered where Howard Shore got the Gondor theme...
