Jaguar cub Balam was born just 11 days ago at Ellen Trout Zoo in Texas, and has been taken care of so far by the keepers since his mother didn’t show any interest in nursing him.
It is possible that Balam can be returned to the care of his mother Seraphina when he’s a little bit bigger, but the important thing right now is to make sure he gets a good start in life.
I’ve written about Jaguars in my Caturday series.
Here are a few pictures of Balam’s gorgeous parents, Seraphina and Kabah.
This litter of three lynx cubs is the fourth litter in four years for Dimma and Switch at the Highland Wildlife Park in Scotland. The cubs are three months old, and have started to explore their enclosure instead of staying huddled inside the den with Mom.
I have written about the Eurasian Lynx in my Caturday series.
And because these little guys are too cute to quit, some updated pictures of the Sand Kittens mentioned in this post.
