Phineas and Ferb is Ending

After a respectful run of almost 8 years, beloved Disney cartoon Phineas and Ferb is coming to an end. Not before giving us one last day (or three) of summer, though.

It’s been confirmed that next month, Phineas and Ferb will draw to a close, though they’ll end with a massive 73-hour marathon of every episode ever. The marathon will run from June 9th to June 12th on Disney XD, and will end, with the final episode, fittingly titled “Last Day of Summer.”

For those sad to see the show end, hopefully this will help: I’m actually pretty excited to hear that the creators, Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, are already in production for a new animated series, titled Mikey Murphy’s Law, about the descendant of the namesake of Murphy’s Law. That sounds neat! I hope that’s as good as Phineas and Ferb has been.

It’s still hard to believe the show is drawing to a close though, and is definitely bittersweet at best. I’m really going to miss seeing Doofenschmirtz on my TV screen. I feel like that guy just gets it, you know?
