This is going to be a short recap, for reasons that will become clear once I get through this non-spoilery paragraph. Let’s see...the Fantastic Four movie was awful, no news there...The Force Awakens is looking better and better every day, so I’m cautiously optimistic on that one...and I think that Jessica Jones will be awesome.

That enough? Cool.

So, in Secret Wars #5, pretty much nothing happened. There is a funeral for Sheriff Strange, Doom is lying to everyone about what happened and feeling guilty for killing Strange, Valeria discovers that Strange was the one who scattered the 616 refugees (and Miles) across Battleworld, and from the looks of it, Thanos is planning to bring down the Shield Wall. That can’t be good. Oh, and Thor is chillin’ with the Thor Corps, Black Panther is in Egyptia with Namor apparently, and Captain Marvel is the prisoner of Sinister. Oh oh, and we found out that Doom killed the Beyonders with a bomb made up of a legion of Molecule Men, and the “real” Molecule Man is still alive in some timey-wimey, wibbly-wobbly place.

That’s about it.

The art was fantastic as always, and while nothing really happened, I think this is on purpose. I’m pretty sure Hickman is giving us a breather before things really hit the fan for the final three issues.

That’s all for this time, and I’ll see you around the Multiverse!
