Actually this was one of the few roles I've seen Katee Sackhoff in that didn't seem like a variation on Kara Thrace. I randomly found Sexy Evil Genius on Netflix (I hadn't heard of the movie before) and watched it. No real spoilers (beyond what's in the trailer) ahead.

The movie starts with three strangers (Harold Perrineau, Michelle Trachtenberg and Seth Green) meeting in a Los Angeles bar. They find they have all been invited by a mutual acquaintance, Nicki (Sackhoff). Nicki clearly has an agenda but given her wild ways the only thing they can expect is the unexpected.

Don't be fooled by the trailer below, the vast majority of the movie is the characters sitting around a table talking. I would describe it as an extended episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents or a filmed play.

If you are fine with dialogue heavy movies and like Seth Green, Michelle Trachtenberg and Katee Sackhoff (at least two of the three) you should like Sexy Evil Genius. If not, you probably won't like it.
