Okay, maybe not really, but if we could agree not to have any kind of apocalypse for at least a year or two, I would really appreciate that.

Anyway, I tend to buy a bunch of stuff when it's on sale, and then since I don't want to eat the same thing everyday for a month it takes a while to eat it all. So, I bought a bunch of stuff, and then I went on a diet, and then I went out of town, etc.... Some of it is out of date, and I'm probably going to throw some of it out, and it makes me feel bad to waste food. And some of it looks like it's been here a while, but then the date is still good, so that's okay. But some of it I can't find a date on it.

Being out of date usually doesn't mean it's going to kill you, just that it might not taste as good as you'd hope.

Anyway, I joke that I'll keep stuff, even stuff I might not want anymore, cause that way I'll be all set for the apocalypse. Like I've got several pounds of plain oatmeal. I hate plain oatmeal. I like oatmeal with tons of sugar. I've decided not to eat much of the oatmeal with tons of sugar. I had originally thought that I would eat some of this with tons of sugar and also make cookies and such. I'm probably not going to do that, so maybe some of this oatmeal should go in the compost.

On the other hand, if the apocalypse comes, I will really regret doing that.

And, while I don't really expect the apocalypse to come next month, if my husband's job doesn't go well next week, that could be very bad financially. Like really bad. Like we wouldn't even have unemployment anymore bad.

I should at least reorganize stuff so that the stuff I probably don't want is in one place and will be easier to get rid of once I decide that the apocalypse is not happening.

Anyway, I'm not going to donate anything, cause if I think something might be too old or something no one else would want it either.

So, what do you think? Are you one of those people who has to run to the store before the storm warning cause you don't have enough food in the house to last a week? Do you feel like a bad wasteful person when you throw out expired food? Do you find expired food in your cabinet and decide to eat it anyway? Do you think that lots of chili powder or Sriracha sauce can fix anything?
