Finally. There are no more excuses for not having seen Danger 5 in the United States (well, other than not having Netflix.) The first season has been available on Hulu and the Canadian version of Netflix for a while now, but snuck onto the American version last week.

If you aren't familiar with the series, it's a surreal Australian send-up of 1960's spy capers (with a dash of Thunderbirds thrown in for good measure) set in a painstakingly accurate portrayal of World War II complete with Nazi dinosaurs, giant robots, golden super weapons, and cocktail recipes. Oh, and every week Hitler escapes by jumping through a window (the same window) and the team is inexplicably lead by Colonel Chestbridge, a giant talking eagle that sounds like Matt Berry, and is dressed like Patrick McGoohan from The Prisoner.

The second season, set in the 80's, just finished airing in Australia, and will hopefully be added shortly, but in the meantime, if you've ever wondered where half the bizarre animated gifs on i09 come from, wonder no more...
