Red Letter Media, the indie movie auteurs from Wisconsin who brought the movie reviews of Mr. Plinkett and Half in the Bag, made a commentary track for the widely-loathed Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.

Listen to Mr. Plinkett utterly obliterate Star Trek V. This time around, I'm seriously surprised at the dearth of material to draw their criticism from. They point out every single nuanced cheap-azz corner that was cut on this flick. This includes a little backstory about the production troubles of this turkey, such as strikes and studio interference. Notes are copious and the eye towards filmcraft is ever-present. Even some Galactic Mechanics and complex Klingon customs are fnord with tactless juvenile hilarity.

The previous Plinkett commentary was a little empty of content and I know some people really don't like the shtick. But the RLM crew truly know their Star Trek and slice this movie up like a bug-eyed alien autopsy. It's on par with the best Plinkett review, for what it's worth, fart jokes and all. Totally dumb shit mixed with kernels of insight.

Oh look, here's a place you can watch The Final Frontier. [I've watched a ton of movies and shows from that site, just wear protection]
