The Chicago-based spin-off of Supernatural has been passed over after a lukewarm reaction to the backdoor pilot recently aired as a part of Supernatural's 9th season.

The good news is, The CW is still open to a different spin-off idea, since Bloodlines was a dud (I will admit I'm several weeks behind on the series and I haven't seen the episode yet, but I've heard a lot of bored responses to it, so I'm thinking this is probably for the best).

Let's hope this means we still have a chance at a Men of Letters spin-off! I will accept either one set with the original Men of Letters, or with a new version of the organization being restarted by Sam while Dean becomes the new Bobby, leading the hunters. Not that I've thought about this before, or anything.
