In its grand traditions of combo-creatures (or giant creatures) fighting each other, SyFy will be presenting us with the Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda fight on August 2nd, just a month and a half-ish away!

Personally, I've enjoyed the ones I've seen, they're cheesy but for the most part they know it and have fun with it. And as a Southern California resident, there's the extra fun of seeing local spots used in these movies (like Redondo Beach Pier being used as "Jersey Shore" in Jersey Shore Shark Attack). The first Sharktopus also got some coverage on local FM radio station KROQ (106.7), leading to one of their morning show hosts (Ralph Garman of the Kevin & Bean Show) even getting a role (as the radio DJ).

And now we get to see what happens when a pterodactyl-barracuda combo-creature is unleashed on the world (or part of it anyway) and the only way to stop it is with a shark-octopus combo-creature. Let the fight begin! Here's a preview.

Also, if you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can follow Sharktopus for udpates (don't judge me!).
