So back in November, I recommended that Kelly Thompson take over writing Jessica Jones when Bendis left. I not only turned out to be right, but Bendis himself asked that Thompson take over the book. Which I’m glad he did, because her first two issues (released on Wednesday as an oversized 40-page digital-first issue)…
Well it’s here again everyone, Jessica Jones season 2, as we (Maybe) deal with the fallout of The Defenders and definitely deal with the fallout of season 1. This time around Jessica faces off with big pharma who probably can’t match with Kilgrave as a villain but we’ll see. Anyway this is a spoiler free thread so…
So Brian Michael Bendis is leaving Marvel for DC. This is pretty shocking news in itself, considering Bendis has been with Marvel for close to seventeen years now and has written almost all of their major characters and even created some new characters that have become very popular. So while we might speculate what…
I theorized about this back before Jessica Jones premiered on Netflix. While watching The Defenders I had a thought that changed my theory. Before I thought that Jessica Jones was Chloe’s alter-ego but it makes much more sense that Chloe is an alternate personality of Jessica Jones.
So The Defenders has finally arrived and we have all either watched or it are still watching it. So now it’s time to look towards the future and say what we want to see happen in a post-Defenders world.
Now that the second trailer for The Defenders has dropped and we are less than a month away from the show airing on Netflix (August 18!), let’s do a deep dive into the history of the group. No, not the Defenders — most of the characters on the show have absolutely nothing to do with that team (aside from Luke Cage,…
Here is Melissa Benoist, star of Supergirl, at the Women’s March on Washington yesterday. As if she couldn’t get more awesome than the time she was surrounded by puppies.
After the success of Jessica Jones over on Netflix, Cinemax has decided to become the platform for another comic book adaptation by the hit creative duo that is writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Alex Maleev. While Jessica Jones isn’t a direct adaptation of their original work from its source material Alias, the…
Apparently former Doctor Who and Purple Man David Tennant frequently wears a hoodie because it makes people stay away. It seems they think he might want to murder them, but despite that he never got a part in Taggart. That’s just one of a selection of facts Radio 4 have assembled ahead of a production of John Osborne’s…
On paper, the two shows sounded like sisters. A woman with access to strange powers wrestles with villainous forces that feeds on taking away any agency from it/his victims. Even more horrifying, these villains grow whenever more victims come under their sway.
It’s been a week since Jessica Jones launched on Netflix and as such it’s been long enough for everyone to have safely finished the series by now. So go ahead and share your spoilerific thoughts on the series down below in the comments.
At least when it comes to the TV side of it? I came across this article, and it once again reminded me that the TV shows are treated as second-class citizens. They try to reference the movies and score cameos, but is that enough?
So it’s pretty slow around here this Sunday. I don’t blame you all with your Fallout 4 and your Jessica Jones and your Sunday Night Football. Okay, maybe not really that last one. So let’s hear how you’re spending your Sunday in the Open Thread!
Today the second of Marvel’s four planned Netflix series; Jessica Jones launches and I thought I’d see how everyone’s feeling about it so far. I myself have yet to start it as of this posting, but I’ll be getting to it as soon as I have a chance.
This is not a drill people! This is the real, actual trailer for Marvel’s Jessica Jones. No more teasers, no more surreal music videos, this features actual footage from the show. And it is creepy as hell.
A new teaser for Netflix’s Jessica Jones dropped, showing off Jessica’s flight abilities.
Another day, another Jessica Jones teaser. This one is similar to the previous, in that we don’t actually see Jessica’s face...but we do see the aftermath of a brawl as she walks through a bar to the tune of Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation.”
A new teaser has been released for Marvel’s Jessica Jones, this time through the international Facebook page for the show. Watch it for yourself:
I usually don’t play this game but since I don’t know much about Jessica Jones* when I see Krysten Ritter playing her I keep thinking the character could be Chloe, her character from the show Don’t Trust The B In Apartment 23. And my theory actually fits what I know about each character.
This is not a drill, people. Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Jessica Jones and the release date: November 20, 2015. Holy crap, look at it.
