Except for a few scenes setting up the next season, the sixth season finale of Once Upon a Time played out as about as good a series finale as the show will ever be able to do. Which raises the question of why keep the series going. (The answer is probably money, of course.)
It seems to be an unwritten rule that genre shows will eventually do musical episodes (I’m sure you can think of your own examples so I won’t make a list). Since Once Upon a Time is also a Disney show I’m surprised it took six seasons before the Storybrooke Avengers broke out in song.
This week’s episode of Once Upon A Time gives us the origin of something that’s been around since the beginning of the show but I think few, if any, viewers really wondered about the story behind that item. But this week we find out the story anyway. Spoilers ahead.
The ABC Sunday night fanfic show known as Once Upon A Time finally did something that some fans have been wanting to see and apparently the showrunners had promised would happen sometime this season. And they did it in true Once Upon A Time fashion. Spoilers ahead.
In this week’s Once Upon A Time: The Dark World it turns out there is something rotten in Camelot and Regina has a heartwarming chat with her sister. Meanwhile back in Storybrooke Emma needs a hero. Spoilers ahead.
This week’s episode of Once Upon A Time deals with a deception in Camelot and the downside of fame (or more accurately infamy). Meanwhile back in Storybrooke everyone has to adjust to the new Emma Swan. Spoilers ahead.
The fifth season of
Storybrooke Avengers Once Upon A Time picks up right where the last one ended. It looks like Emma is giving her red jacket a rest for a while with her new look. Spoilers for the season premiere episode ahead.
The fourth season of Once Upon A Time concluded last night. Besides finishing the last story arc of this season it also set up next season with a new Big Bad and a new quest. Spoilers ahead.
Once Upon A Time has thrown a lot of bones at Star Wars fans during its run. With a new Star Wars movie coming out in December I wouldn’t be surprised if Disney creates some synergy by having an episode of the show next fall set “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.” Here’s my pitch.
I'm not particularly up to speed on Disney movies beyond general pop culture knowledge. For example I had no idea that song in the Avengers 2 trailer was from Pinocchio. So I can watch Once Upon A Time as a cheesy guilty pleasure. Spoilers for last night's episode ahead.
Anyone else still watching this show? If you stopped because the characters would act however was needed to serve the story, then a) I don't blame you and b) don't bother coming back, it's still like that.
So today during the hours in which I had nothing to do I made some images with new names for tv-shows. Four I like (So it is done with love) and one tv-show I do not like.
[Just in case someone is afraid of of spoilers]
As you may know, Josh Dallas (Prince Charming) played Fandral in the first Thor movie. Tonight, he used a throwaway line that possibly maybe referenced this.
Oh God this is so awful wtf is happening no no no no wtf who writes this shit?
WTF, guys. WTF. I don't even... I can't... and I like Frozen. SPOILERS BELOW.
I think Orion female.
Since my WGN feed is East Coast I watch Salem at 7 then flip over to ABC and watch Once Upon a Time at 8. Watching these two shows back to back really highlights the differences between them.
