The end is nigh! Season 3 of the magicians draws to a close, but season 4 is confirmed, and it’s a good thing, because we are definitely going to need more.
Six keys in their possession and a brand new Penny, the group is closer than ever to fulfilling the quest, but the final key rests with the Faeries. In an unlikely turn, politics may be the answer.
Alternate reality fun time! I love an alternate reality story, and time travel. This is a little of both, which impressively manages to show us an alternate timeline while simultaneously adhering to continuity from previous seasons.
The final act is fast approaching, and five keys have been found. They’ve lost Penny, but gained Josh, while Julia has a mission of her own. Will the Magicians be able to make a deal to further their Quest?
Though they ultimately brought home the 4th key, everyone was in a pretty bad place after last week’s simultaneous foray into the underworld and the Library. Recap for episode 9 below!
The Quest for the Seven Keys has hit some road bumps along the way, but a good quest is never a simple affair. Eliot and Margo have lost control over their kingdom, but Quentin and Penny are working on a plan to retrieve the next key with some unlikely allies.
We’ve reached the halfway point of the season, and things are looking grim. Alice isn’t reacting well to Julia’s magic, Elliot and Margo are up to their necks in Faeries, Kady is institutionalized, Penny is still dead (or just Astral, depending on your point of view) and Dean Fogg is super cranky.
So far this season, we’ve followed the magicians’ adventures in a world without magic. They’ve gained a boat, but are on the verge of losing a kingdom. Three of the Seven Keys have been found, will Quentin be able to find another?
I’ve been clear on my general dislike for Penny, but even a Penny-centric episode of the Magicans is great. In fact, it may be the strongest episode yet.
Four episodes down and two keys in hand, what will A Life in the Day hold in store for the former students of Brakebills?
Most of the recap portion was saved as a draft, but all of the formatting and commentary were lost when I tried to publish, so forgive the lateness and bear with me if this gets messy as I try to recreate a couple hours of writing and thinking.
Last week, we followed our friends from Brakebills as they tried to cope in a world without magic. Everyone seemed to be in agreement that it sucks, so they set forth on a quest to get their damn magic back! Let’s see how that’s going...
You may call me Bluebeard, as you may have done for many years. My current moniker is very silly, but I’m still enjoying it.
So, do you want the good news or the bad news? Killjoys has been renewed for two whole seasons to give them the chance to wrap up their ongoing storyline.
After the spectacularly insane finale (pictured above), Dark Matter returned for Season 3 with its stakes raised up to eleven. Four, the swole samurai, got some pointers from his alternate universe self and took the throne, becoming the Emperor of Zairon and causing a spectacular diplomatic incident. Where can we go…
I was thinking about the Syfy Channel recently, about how great it was that they were finally introducing a lot more genre shows after a long period of trying to move away from being, well, the Sci-Fi Channel (they even once aired wrestling — it wasn’t a good time). But then I began to realize that Syfy was actually…
After taking off last week Face Off returns this week and the two contestant effects shops must create horned demons for Dante’s Circles of Hell. Which shop will reign and who will be cast out? Results ahead.
On this week’s episode of Face Off balance is restored then the two contestant effects shops must create occupants for fairy tale houses. Which shop has the dream house and which one has a nightmare house? Results ahead.
So I just watched the first episode of Syfy’s new horror anthology, Channel Zero: Candle Cove, which is available for free on Amazon Instant Video now. Here are some thoughts.
I completely forgot that Syfy was premiering Aftermath last night until my DVR clicked on and I checked to see what it was recording. Aftermath stars Anne Heche and her real life partner as a married couple with three kids when apocalyptic events happen. Some mild spoilers ahead.
