I'm planning on doing another of my occasional popular culture consumption surveys (complete with statistical analysis to follow) very soon but I realized that there's something I know pretty much NOTHING about.
What is the nature and prevalence of non-broadcast television in other countries around the world? I'm familiar with the landscape here in the U.S. but really have no clue how things work elsewhere.
So I ask you, international niners, what options exist in your country besides old-school, over-the-air, fiddle with the antenna television? Do you have cable television and/or satellite? Multiple options of one or both? How many channels do you typically get? Tell me anything and everything you might feel is relevant, including the country of which you speak.
