I posted a couple of weeks ago about my photo op with Bruce Campbell. I went to Salt Lake Comic Con with my best friend (it was a long drive, but Bruce was totally worth it), and saw lots of other really cool things, too. I thought you guys might like to see.
I took a lot of pictures at the Weta Workshop booth, because ^ hello. I'm pretty sure this Smaug debuted at San Diego Comic Con earlier this year, but it was so awesome to see it in person. The eye would pop open and the pupil was animated, and it would seem to follow peoples' movement. He was so big he could have swallowed me whole, and I'm 5'6".
I know, I know - it's like J.J. Abrams took these pictures.
I didn't notice that Azog the Defiler's loincloth was made of people's faces until I saw this life-size statue of him.
Yup. Look closer. He has faces on his crotch flap, too.
Hell of a way to go.
Gandalf's silver scarf is so magical that it costs $108. Don't get me wrong - I would totally spend a ridiculous amount of money on it if I had a ridiculous amount of money. But I don't. I think is hat was around $240.
Here I think Gollum was giving the side-eye to Deadpool conga line that was happening at the time.
And here's a Bat-Tumbler replica.
And Batman's ride from an earlier generation.
LEGO Stay Puft....
And slightly bigger Stay Puft.
LEGO Thor, signed by Stan Lee (who was also a guest at the con).
And LEGO Wonder Woman.
Finished up by a bunch of astro droids.
