Disguised as a marketing short for a robotics company, Neil Blomkamp's 2004 film asks the question, "What if you could supplement your police force with machines? Would it make your community safer?"
It had to have been back in 2004 when I first saw this. I had a buddy who shared it with me, and I have to admit, at first, I thought it was a real advert. Watching it now, some of the flaws in CGI are a bit more apparent (some of the full-body shots of the robots look a little "floaty") but back then I could have been convinced it was a proof-of-concept or target from a legitimate business.
