but not because of Ben Affleck. He's not the right fit, but the movie won't be bad just because he's in it. It'll be bad because Frank Miller is involved.

Frank Miller used to be one of the greats. His run on Daredevil is enough to prove that. And The Dark Knight Returns is a really great graphic novel, barring his fudging of Superman's character. Sin City, 300 all great. But after that I don't know what happened. Did the fame go to his head? Did he have some kind of medical problem? I don't know. All I know is that after that, his work just went to crap. The man who wrote one of the best Batman graphic novels of all time also wrote the absolutely awful All-Star Batman and Robin, and the worst sequel to anything ever; The Dark Knight Strikes Again.

This man cannot write anything anymore that does not show Batman as being better then every other hero, Superman as a tool, and woman as more then sex objects.

And if they're conferring with him for this movie, that's what we're gonna get. A 2 1/2 hour ode to how amazing Batman is, how horrible Superman is, and not a single female character that is anything more then eye-candy for the audience.

I did have hopes for this movie. Batman and Superman are my favorite superheroes ever. I've always loved how they are polar opposites in almost every way possible, and still the best of friends. That's what I want to see on the big screen. I want to see these two people, who's ideologies are so different yet so very similar, interact and learn from each other. Not just meet up and beat the crap out of each other.

Not that I mind them fighting, not at all. The World's Finest from the animated series has them fighting within seconds of meeting each other. But its not the focus of the movie. It's not shown to prove one is better then the other. It's the first reaction to two very different types of heroes butting heads for the first time.

Anyway, there's my rant on the subject. I need to go read the Superman/Batman series again.
