The Intergalactic Congress Meets On This Week’s Face Off

Logan’s delegate

This week on Face Off it is every All-Star for themselves as the contestants are tasked to create delegates to an intergalactic congress. The teams have been dissolved and each contestant is working individually. Who is going home this week? Results ahead.

The six remaining contestants arrive it the hub of intergalactic affairs - the Long Beach Civic Center. (The smart aliens stop for an omelette at the nearby Long Beach Cafe.) McKenzie Westmore greets them to introduce this week’s challenge and drop the news that teams are dead and it’s all individual work from here on out. Each All-Star is given a dossier of information on the alien they are to design and they get right to work.

Logan and Cig are in the middle with Safe Looks this week.

Emily consciously chose to go outside her comfort zone with her concept (male warrior instead of princess). To be honest I thought Emily was probably going home for the first half or so of the episode since during her individual talking segments she was always on the verge of tears. But her painting skills saved the day for her and she is a Top Look.

Meanwhile Tyler was firing on all cylinders. It was clear as soon as the judges started discussing the designs that they considered Tyler’s work above the rest. He is a Top Look and wins the challenge. I would be surprised if Tyler isn’t in the finale.

George is initially bummed about not working with his BFF Cig. He takes a smoke break to get his head straight then gets to work. It’s not his best stuff (though I liked it) and the judges think it’s too cartoony and toy-like instead of looking like an intergalactic delegate. He is a Bottom Look.

Evan goes for a gluttonous alien look. But he applies the face prosthetic crooked with no time to fix it. The judges aren’t too thrilled with the design anyway (Ve calls it a “big giant, infected thumb”) so the crooked face is the one thing too much. Evan is not only a Bottom Look but is eliminated this week.
