It's the Canada Day Long Weekend and there will be many, many, MANY bottles of beer drunk, spilled, smashed (perhaps over someone's head), sipped, chugged, enjoyed, etc. etc.
What you may not know is that The Beer Store's return program has a wicked recovery rate, at about 99% of sold bottles, the best in North America. A standard brown long-necked beer bottle will get used 15 times before it is broken for recycling.
Now I'm more of a gin-girl (I'm secretly an 80 year old WASP), but I'm still pretty proud of that recycling program. The Beer Store may be evil in other ways, but this is sound.
