Miscalibrated Internet Receptor Stalks
Miscalibrated Internet Receptor Stalks

Abominable yet endearing. What better way to celebrate H.P. Lovecraft’s 125th birthday than an ABC of his most fearsome (yet strangely lovable) creations, written and animated by Richard Svensson?

I have to confess that I was a bit disappointed that Nyarlathotep, one of my favorite Elder Gods, didn’t make the cut. Neither did Abdul Alhazred, nor Randolph Carter, and purists might balk at the inclusion of non-HPL Mythos creations like Derleth’s Ithaqua and Smith’s Tsathoggua. But on the whole, it’s a delightful assortment of blasphemous yet appealing eldritch entities. They’ll warm your heart, even as they devour your sanity and leave you a gibbering wretch.

And if this doesn’t satisfy your appetite for Lovecraft-based puppetry (of the stop-motion, shadow- and hand- variety), there are many others to choose from.
