The animated short "The Missing Scarf" is about Albert the squirrel is missing his scarf. Simple enough, right? Wrong.
In this award winning short by Eoin Duffy, Albert's story is masterfully narrated by the one and only George Takei. We follow our intrepid squirrel as he journeys through the forest in search of his scarf, finding himself running into various friends who have their own sets of worries. Stopping, Albert takes the time to talk each of them through their issues until the final friend Fredrick the bear who... well... you'll have to see it for yourself.
I love the mixed media animation style of this short. It pairs wonderfully with Albert's upbeat message and contrasts nicely with the change in tone as the short progresses. Originally this short was hard to find short of watching it at a film festival or having a screener, so it's awesome to see it on the web for all to enjoy... and then promptly mutter "WTF did I just watch?!" to themselves once it ends.
