The "Optional" John Carpenter Films?

So, I just finished watching They Live for the first time. As expected, it was completely excellent.

With that viewing, I've basically watched and loved all of Carpenter's classics (Halloween, Escape from NY, The Thing, Big Trouble). I've even seen a couple of his lesser works (The Fog, which was okay, and Escape from LA, which was ass).

This leaves me wondering; are any of his other films worth watching? I know I've seen his greats, so I won't expect anything else he ever did to match those. But is there anything else he directed that's worth checking out, even if it's only once?
