So my company is expanding our facility (good news for economics) which means there's a lot of construction going on in the building (bad news for concentration). Right now it's a lot of heavy thuds and equipment growling and metal scraping and it sounds like I'm in the middle of the T-Rex paddock on Isla Nublar.

Sometimes the machines make high-pitched squeals, and I start worrying that our doorknobs are not Raptor-proof.

And then sometimes it sounds just like regular machinery, but I think someone's about to get eaten.

So now I wear ear plugs and head phones when I can.
