Miscalibrated Internet Receptor Stalks
Miscalibrated Internet Receptor Stalks

This is another cellphone related post where I steal all of your best ideas you can talk about all the things you love and hate, specifically apps. Which ones do you use all the time? What fun games do you play?

I probably use Google Maps and Next Bus the most. The first to tell me how to get places now that I live in a big city and the second to tell me when I should leave to catch the bus. It’s especially nice on the weekends when the buses don’t run as often and I don’t want to wait 20 minutes in the heat at the bus stop. I’ve got a couple apps for managing fantasy hockey teams that only get used six months of the year. I use Google Play a lot for listening to music. Groupon is really nice for trying out new restaurants since you can just show your server the certificate on your phone instead of printing it out at home ahead of time. I’ve got a Scrabble app since no one in the House will play with me but I haven’t used it as much lately since I discovered 1010 which is kind of like Tetris but without the speed component. It is so addictive. Oh, and I mentioned this last week but my phone has a notepad app that lets you handwrite notes with a stylus that stores in the body. As someone who never mastered the skill of typing with my thumbs that is like a gift from the gods.
