Tough Guys From The Bronx Are Also Fluffy

These male Snow Leopard cubs are the latest success story in the Bronx Zoo's participation in the Snow Leopard Species Survival Plan, overseen by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. 99% of my reasons for posting these baby animals are related to factors like cuteness, adorability, and other important things, but the truth is that many of these animals' wild populations are under threat, and the Species Survival Plan contributes in many ways to slow the extinction of some amazing animals. So at least 47% of my reasons for posting about these animals are intended to educate and promote conservation, which gives us 146% percent of good reasons. That's a lot more % than you'll get anywhere else!

The cubs and their mother made their public debut in their state-of-the-art, award-winning exhibit, which closely resembles the Himalayan habitat of their wild relatives. I have written about Snow Leopards in my Caturday series.

And there's video!
