Miscalibrated Internet Receptor Stalks
Miscalibrated Internet Receptor Stalks

I recently repaired an old laptop and installed Windows 7 on it so I could run InDesign.

I do all my normal work on a Fedora box, so I'm not looking for any productivity apps, but I'm curious about any (free) fun toys. Thanks to a post here a few days ago, I grabbed a copy of SketchUp. I'll definitely be making use of that to create things for the Trilobyte project (like creating the layout for the container colony!). I also tossed LibreOffice on it (just to check compatibility of documents across platforms).

What else is out there that's fun and free?

On a second note: Anyone have recommendations for a simple SSH client? I have Putty, but there are some features that annoy me. I'm used to CL on Linux for SSH -D (I use it to tunnel past the Great Firewall).
