Two down, three to go

Damn, I'm surprised at how quickly I'm tearing through these books. Then again, I have nothing better to do than sit around and read 900+ page fantasy novels.

So here are some random thoughts I have about the first two books.

-Arya is badass, we can all agree on that.

-What exactly is Jon Snow supposed to be doing? Seems like he's is just wandering and no real motivation has been given him to do anything. Or maybe is plotline is just really slow.

-Tyrion is cool but god, his chapters can be tedious. I mean, all he can do is plot and wait for things to happen. This can be very boring sometimes.

-Though I disliked her at first, Daenerys has grown on me. I just wonder how long it is going to take for her to accomplish her goals and whether the ultimate payoff will be worth the wait.

-I may be in the minority but I want more Davos. He is a pirate so that automatically makes him cool. But also, he is not entirely concerned with his own ambitions and offers a different view of events.

Due to carelessly reading spoilery posts, I have a vague idea of some of the stuff that happens later. I get the impression that Theon is thoroughly fucked at the Dreafort. Something to do with Reek, but he is dead, so I don't know exactly what it could be. Also, something about Catelyn being killed and brought back. Maybe that happens later in the series though.

Anyway, I'm greatly enjoying these books and may soon be able to actually watch A Game of Thrones once finished with A Dance with Dragons. However, by that time Martin will probably still not even be done with the next book.

Oh and fuck you Mr. Martin, for killing maester Luwin.
