And I don't even get any painkillers after.
It's a 3 and a half hour course and it is just so boring. I'm halfway through it and it has all been common sense or stuff that would fit on a driving test. An entire section was on the proper way to fuel the boat. and it was 10 pages long.
Why am I doing this? My parents and I are taking a 4-day weekend and going down to their cabin at Lake of the Ozarks over in Missouri. This is the first time we're going down just the 3 of us since we got it. No relatives are inviting themselves to come with us for the first time in 6 years. And while that is the greatest thing ever, it also means I need to be able to drive the boat so my dad can Ski.
Yeah, it's been six years since going down there could actually be called a vacation. This has been my experience for the last 6 years
"Oh, you have a bed here? Sorry, we invited ourselves but we need that bed. You can sleep fine on the 4 foot couch right?"
"Oh you want to go out on the boat? Well, it's your family's boat, you can go anytime why don't you stay here while we go out and have fun."
"Oh, you want to ski? Sorry, we have 4 other people who want to too. You can wait."
"Oh, it's 3am and you're trying to sleep? Sorry, we're gonna be watching TV all night with the sound all the way up. Good thing your parents can't hear it, otherwise we may have to turn it down."
"Oh it's 5 am and you're still trying to sleep? Sorry, we're getting up and not trying in the least to be quiet."
And etc, etc, etc. Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to this weekend. The only fun I've had the last few times I've gone is playing in the water with Ein and eating.
Sorry, this was supposed to be a rant on an online boating course. I just got on a roll there.
