We've been loving Walking Dead since ep.1 here at home, but lately got to wondering: Walkers get awfully fragile as soon as they turn; a poke with a sharp stick seems enough to pierce a skull, let alone a boot to the forehead. Over time, their bodies get so decayed they seem to fall apart in a stiff breeze (though being walkers, they keep on keepin' on). So how is it that their jaws and teeth stay so strong?
Over and over we get scenes of walkers tearing raw flesh, piercing skin and biting limbs. Has the mythology of the show or novels ever addressed this? Inquiring minds, and all that. Thanks!
