Watching TV from under the covers

The boyfriend and I wanted to watch Doctor Who today, then we said “Oh, it’s Halloween. Which episode? “Blink”, of course.”

Doctor Who has lots of episodes with people being clever, lots of episodes of people running, lots of episodes of action adventures. But sometimes there are those creepy, creepy episodes. My top few are “Blink”, “The Empty Child”/“The Doctor Dances” (how many of us can’t think of gas masks the same way?), “Silence in the Library”/“Forest of the Dead” (“Hey, who turned out the lights?” No one, I slept with mine on that night), and “Listen” (what was that thing on the bed anyway?). Honorable mentions go to “The Doctor’s Wife” (when Amy walked past Rory’s body was a real eye-opener) and “Hide”, with the ghost hunters. They had their moments, but the winners are the ones that stay with you. The things that you’re afraid might actually go bump in the dark.

So what are your favorite scary Doctor Who moments? Or is there another sci-fi TV show that dialed the creep factor up to 11 in that one episode?
