Wednesday Android Update: "I got nothing" Edition. UPDATED!

I got nothing planned for you guys/gals today. My wisdom tooth has been coming out/came out since Sunday and my mouth just hurts something awful cause of it, I've also been sick since the weekend and fevers all night long coupled with my mouth hurting has done nothing to help with my usual insomnia caused sleepless nights. I've slept maybe all of eight hours from Sunday to right now.

So right now I'm barely firing on one cylinder. I just got nothing.

If anything noteworthy comes up in the world of Android/Google I'll update the post to reflect it, otherwise expect your regularly scheduled post to be back to normal next week. Hopefully!

I'm working on getting the LG G Watch by then as well. Best Buy officially has it up for pre-order. They did and within a day they removed it, I called my local store and talked to the always awesome CSR who I see almost every other day when I'm there picking up orders for work and she says it's not even in their system beyond "sold out online". Checked again today and suddenly it's back. So based on the info I'm seeing they should officially have it in stock next week, that's when it'll ship to my house if I order now.

In related news, if you're seriously considering getting an Android Wear device I highly recommend just based on what I've read the LG G Watch over the Samsung Gear Live. Numerous people and sites online have reported that Samsung's proprietary method for charging the device is as fucked up and retarded as can be and many people are having the part that charges break off entirely and/or fail literally with as little as one use.

Assuming I get mine next week expect a review of it then. In the meantime you cats keep stay cool.

UPDATE! Screen casting (with sound) is live! In order to screen cast you need to be on Android 4.4.1+ and one of the following devices.

Nexus 4

Nexus 5

Nexus 7 (2013)

Nexus 10

Samsung Galaxy S4

Samsung Galaxy S5

Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 (2014)

HTC One M7

LG G Pro2

It should be under display options, at which point you select your Chromecast and it'll cast what you see on your phone to it. Otherwise you can enable it through the Chromecast app. (Keeping in mind playback issues will be network dependent. So if your WiFi sucks then you should fix that before blaming Google.)

Here's a few cat pics to appease you due to my inability to do anything worthwhile with this post. They are of my boss's mom's two cats.
