Hey, gang and welcome to WednesdayBookClub. My name is Geesejuggler and this week is my “vacation week” from work* and I’m spending it trying not to freak out, as one does. Seriously, I’m just going to post about this whole thing at the bottom of the post so we can get onto bookclub.

Still making slow progress with The Rook. I’m not sure if it feels like slow going because the book is massive or because I have to make myself read slower with ebooks due to my habit to skim when reading on a screen. I also picked up Turtles All The Way Down by John Green. Only about 5 pages in but I already feel for our protagonist, especially after the year I’ve been having.

What about you all? Anything good?

*Okay, so I had a some vacation and sick time from work so I decided to use it before I quit. My last day working was Sunday but I technically still work there until the third. I had made my peace with it until last week, a manager who switched stores found me at work. We talked about me leaving and he offered me a job at his store in the department I wanted.

I went to the store to talk to him yesterday about my conditions and he said that he’d talk to some people and see what he could do. I’m trying not to freak out about it and second guess myself. I’m not worried about the money or a job. I’m just worried that I just went from one bad spot to another. I’ve done what I can and I’ve prayed on it (Yes, I’m religious). Happy vibes needed, fam.
