This week I'm part of a committee responsible for planning a new high school layout. Basically, the idea is: if we can raze the school to the ground (which is going to happen) how can we rebuild the school to make the best 21st century school we can?

Open-concept schools are very popular with my principal, and I have had good experiences with them.

What do you guys think? If you could build a modern, 21st century school, what would you do?

Obviously I'm thinking open spaces, lots of natural light and solar panels (which makes a lot of sense, as we live in a tropical area), comfortable classrooms with non-traditional seating, and tech, tech, tech.

But I'd love some input! Pictures, ideas, anything you've got — anyone have ideas to share?
