The game comes out on Friday and I only now just started looking at the previews and official demos.
Gotta say, it's not looking completely up to snuff next to Asylum or City...
I mean the excellent base gameplay is obviously there, but there's a notable lack of personality in the environment with all that snow and greyness. Plus losing Conroy after two games feels kind of jarring in terms of continuity. Also the v.a. they choose to replace him sounds like a really generic male video game protagonist.
But despite the lost of Dini as the main writer, I like the premise of the story, with young Batman dealing with a bounty on his head that's throws him in a gauntlet against Deathstroke, Shiva, and the like. I just hope the writers will be able to proximate his fluency with writing all the characters which I think was the biggest reason the last two Arkham games felt like proper Batman 'simulators' along with Rocksteady's innovative mechanics.
