Technically my birthday’s tomorrow, but we figured we’d get an early start. (Also, it protects my identity. Mmmn, sweet, delicious anonymity.)
Anyway, I’m not doing anything special this weekend, but I did go ahead and indulge myself here and there. Bought some big ol’ quasi-SF literary novels, including Dexter Filkins’ Version Control and the 20th anniversary edition of Infinite Jest (hey, I finished Gravity’s Rainbow and 1Q84 — I can handle this). I also grabbed the third hardcover omnibus of Claremont’s Uncanny X-Men, from the last good period of the series when Paul Smith was drawing it.
Anything else worth checking out? I’ve been playing The Witness, but it’s the sort of game that makes me want to rethink my life choices. Superhot looks like fun, as does Firewatch.
