On April 8, the Philadelphia Zoo's breeding pair of Black-footed Cats welcomed the zoo's first litter! Proud parents Aza (mom) and Ascari (dad) now have two boys and one girl, whose names are Drogon, Viserion and Rhaegal, respectively. Those names might be familiar to some of you. They're well-named - Black-footed Cats are small but fierce! In southern Karoo they are known as meershooptier, which means "anthill tiger."

LOOK AT THE TEENSY DRAGON KITTENS!

I've written about Black-footed Cats in my Caturday series.
